01Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to NorthScale Group Inc. ("NorthScale", "we", "us" or "our"), a corporation constituted under the laws of Canada with its place of business in the Province of Québec, and to the website northscalegroup.com and any related pages (the "Site").

We are committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Québec), the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) and other privacy laws that may apply to you.

02Person in charge of personal information

Our President is the person in charge of the protection of personal information at NorthScale. Questions, requests or complaints about this policy or our practices may be sent to inquiries@northscalegroup.com, with the subject line "Privacy".

We collect only the personal information that is necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

We may also receive professional contact information from publicly available sources, such as company websites and professional networks.

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for its operation, and, with your consent where required, analytics tools that help us understand how the Site is used. Any technology that allows you to be identified, located or profiled is deactivated by default. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:

09Transfers outside Québec

Personal information held outside Québec may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is located.

10Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. When it is no longer required, it is securely destroyed or anonymised.

We apply physical, organisational and technological safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, encryption in transit and confidentiality obligations for anyone with access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the persons concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec as required by law.

12Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

   Request the correction of personal information that is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal.

   Withdraw your consent to certain uses of your personal information.

   Request that we cease disseminating your personal information or de-index links associated with you, where permitted by law.

   Receive computerised personal information you have provided in a structured, commonly used technological format, where applicable.

13Exercising your rights and complaints

To exercise any of these rights, write to inquiries@northscalegroup.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within thirty days of receiving your request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or, where applicable, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

14Children

The Site and our services are intended for business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of fourteen.

15Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
